I decided to check out this yoga studio on Friday that a friend of mine recommended.  By the time I got home from work, I was exhausted and not really in the mood to workout, but I went anyway.

We did vinyasa yoga, which turned out to be the most relaxing yoga I’ve ever tried.  Lots of sun salutations and I worked up a good sweat, but it didn’t feel strenuous or difficult. At the end of it, I felt like I had gone on a week’s vacation!  The instructor was really…calming, not cheesy, and had an aura of a healing about her.  There were a surprising number of men in the class and NO ONE was wearing Lululemon. That was the best part.  I’m definitely coming back.

Afterward I met up with some university friends at Coca, and pissed off our waitress by holding up her tables for a ridiculously long time.  Oh well.

Saturday afternoon we went to a casual BBQ get together.   We had black bean quesadillas, ribs and salad, and I made a pavlova for dessert.  After much eating and drinking, Sam and I really felt like playing a game, so we went to Dufferin Mall and came back with Cranium!  We convinced all the boys to play with us, and had a lot of fun.  Especially when we watched Tristan rival a drawing scene from Superbad for a clue that said draw a ‘birthday suit.’  Was hilarious.

After church on Sunday, I had dim sum with some friends.  One of whom I know mostly through a long history of blog-bonding.  We’d only ever hung out a couple times in real life, but oddly enough, we know each other’s lives fairly well.

I volunteered later in the afternoon at Matthew House, where I learned an important lesson on judging people/things too quickly on first impressions.  Usually, if I don’t love something within 15 minutes, I’m over it.  Sometimes I become so convicted about what I find out in the first 15 minutes of meeting someone or trying something that I pass judgment way too early.  Some experiences and some people just take longer to flesh out.  Lesson learned.

When I got home, I practiced my choreography until my face was flushed and I was out of breath and Sharl and I ordered food in, and watched a movie on TV and went to bed.
