Saturday Night, Sharl and I had dinner at Jules' restaurant with Tristan, Sam and Jeff. We shared an tapas tile and some cornmeal calamari, and of course we had the dry ribs and yam fries. I must pause as I write this to give some honorary respect the ribs at the Universal Grill. They are the BEST ribs I've ever tasted, and they NEVER disappoint. (They were just as amazing reheated for lunch the next day.)

After a gluttonous meal ending with crème brûlée, some kind of dolce de leche and an Orgasm on Dupont chocolate cake we went to a reggae party at Thymless. Good party...eccentric crowd. There was a 60 year old white woman with a headscarf full of dreadlocks grooving to the music.

Sunday, we went to my parents' house for a Mother's Day BBQ and it was another day of good eats... we had a pork rib roast, lamb medallions, bratwurst sausages, chicken, grilled veg...and the list goes on. My brother has turned into quite the BBQ connaisseur. Xhosa had a field day in the backyard and performing all her tricks for a little taste of BBQ.

Today is my dad's birthday, and we head out to a family friend's house for some Korean BBQ. I will be a whale by the time summer gets here! Thank goodness for sweating it out on the dancefloor several times a week.
