**RANT** Read Walkers

What is with people reading in inappropriate situations??

Today in the packed 504 King streetcar, at the busiest stop, University/St. Andrew this woman decided to park herself in the MIDDLE of the rear exit doors and read her newspaper.  She was completely oblivious to the line-up of impatient people waiting behind her WAITING to exit the streetcar.

Then, as I was exiting the subway at Dundas station, ANOTHER girl infront of me was reading her paper while exiting the subway and was blind to the fact that she was walking at a SNAILS pace and slowing down the crowd.  She lollygagged her way to the turnstyle like she was relaxing on a vacation in Europe.

Because of these two read-walkers, I was a whole 20 seconds behind the rest of the world. And this small fraction of time really irritated me.

I've also seen people reading while driving.  Reading was never designed to be in the multi-task category!!
