There was a shooting early this morning in the Financial District. Apparently some kind of police chase that ended with the cops having to shoot 2 people.
This caused some major traffic delays this morning as the King streetcar was only going as far as Spadina. I had to walk the rest of the way in slippery stilettos with the blizzardy air blowing into my face giving my ears frostbite. Thank God for the underground PATH.
Anyway, when I got to work, the view outside my window looked like a CSI episode. There was yellow tape, a car crashed into a pole, and police everywhere between York and Yonge on King. I don't know how they managed to ward off all the pedestrians trying to get to work without stepping into the crime scene!
