Sharl and I left the puppy for a weekend in Montreal.
Friday night, we wandered the streets for a bit...


OMG...this was a slightly creepy Christmas display outside a restaurant.


Afterward, we went to a cute Spanish restaurant called Pintxo on Roy St. It was kind of like a tapas bar, but after talking to the owners, they explained that pintxos are like tapas but they are from a region in northern Spain. We drank wine and ordered some pintxos...calamari, cheese, scallops, crab and shrimp, and mushrooms with duck confit. Very warm and cozy dining experience.

The next morning, Sharl and I had breakfast in Old Montreal





Of course, the main reason we were in town was to attend m&p's wedding. At first we didn't think we would know anyone, however when we walked into the church we were greeted by one of m's friends who knew Sharl and I by name. A bit puzzled, I looked a little sideways at him to see if I recognized him from somewhere. Before I had time to asked he said, "I recognize you guys from your blog. I linked to it from m's page."
So to K and my other anonymous lurkers, hello!
Later at the dinner reception, I chatted with C for a bit and though we had only really met a couple times, we knew a surprising handful of personal details about eachother....again....via blogs.
I don't know if that's cool or kind of creepy.

Anyway... here are some pics of the beautiful bride. She was very much herself and was very very happy. Congrats!

It was in a very pretty and quaint church, and m looked beautiful.

Couldn't help but wistfully reminiscing our wedding. I can't believe it's come and gone already. Married life is the best part though. Happiness and love to m&p.
