Sharl and I went to Montreal this weekend for Thanksgiving.
Feat #1 was that I drove the entire way there and back. It was an easy drive, but I was so tired and my back hurt by the end of it. I also started to get the car crazies by the time I hit the DVP.
Feat #2 was that Sharl and I cooked a thanksgiving feast. At first this seemed like an intimidating task, but we are not ones to turn down a food challenge. We took over my Grandma's kitchen for the day. Sharl took charge of the Turkey and I made all the fixings....stuffing, mashed potatoes, turnip casserole, asparagus, carrots and homemade gravy. The family was impressed with our meal. The Morrison and Robinson traditions have officially passed through our hands. Now if we can only do our Chinese sides justice and put on a Chinese New Years feast. For now we will have to revel in our first big food tradition accomplishment and muster up courage (and plenty of secret family recipes) to tackle our next challenge.
