Last night I went to a Vegan restaurant with some friends.
It wasn't so much the health or humanitarian aspect of it that I enjoyed, but rather the intrigue of the flavours that came together from the ingredients used in vegan cooking. Vegans don't eat any products made from animals....including dairy, eggs and of course, meat. Everything is made from organically grown vegetables and there are no preservatives or hidden miscellaneous chemicals.
I had this soba noodle dish with tempeh and vegetables in a peanut sauce. It was okay, but modesty aside, I think I could have made it better.
The cornbread was very tasty tho....and the hummus too.
I could never be a full time vegan or vegetarian because there are too many restrictions. And I don't ever like to discriminate against any type of food.
Plus, I ate a steak before going out. I don't think that's allowed. I think my love of fur would also be frowned upon.
