Thank you for the quasi-invitation to your birthday gathering, although you weren't really so clear in the first place about the special occasion we were celebrating. I do remember your birthday being the day before remembrance day from way back when - that was of course when November 11th actually seemed important to me and now all it means is a holiday that I don't get off of work.
