I've been very sick since Thursday with a bad cold.

I couldn't taste or smell anything for the past 4 days, which is a nightmare for me because those are my two most very favourite senses. I have a very sensitive and cherished taste palatte, and food is not even worth eating without it. I swear, the sense of smell and taste sensors in my brain are attached to my memory glands because distinct scents and flavours can bring back vivid visions of people, places and events. This explains my newfound addiction to nasal spray. A couple of spritzes and a sharp inhale, and I'm back to life.

Now, I'm sipping on Rooibos tea, and it's evoking so many fond memories of South Africa.

I just hope nasal spray isn't a gateway drug to other sniffing drugs...
