Today was really fun.
I met up with Karly at Hart House, and we ran around the track and talked so much we didn't realize how much time had gone by. I think we burned lots of calories.
When we were leaving, we saw that the parking enforcement officer was slowly creeping up to her vehicle. And since we had, indeed, tempted fate by parking illegally, Karly ran for her life toward the car and double sommersaulted over the hood of her car and took off James Bond style before the officer could give her a ticket. (i embellished slightly about the sommersault over the hood part, but that's how i imagined that it played out.)
Later on we had lunch at this really great trattoria restaurant in little Italy. The pizza was so amazing--crispy thin crust, buffalo mozarella, grilled chicken, roasted red peppers and pesto. Best of all, the owner sent us wine on the house and topped us up during our meal.
For desset we went to Futures for some superyummy cheesecake.
Later, I came home and Sharl and I cooked bangers and mash for dinner. It turned out really well too... real Brit food. Sharl told me that he almost bought me a kitten today. That got me really excited. I'm hugely allergic to cats...my eyes get itchy and puffy and I start wheezing, and my face takes on the look of a perma-sneeze anticipation, but I still love them. Even though he didn't end up doing it, I thought the gesture was really sweet, and I gave him huge hugs for thinking of it. My boy is the bestest. He's so friggin good to me. Already took me to Africa, and he never ceases to find ways to make me happy. Okay, that's everyone's daily dose of cheese. That's okay because in 2 days it's Valentine's day.
Time for bed. Nite!
