Today I gave my French students a bunch of labels to stick on various items around the classroom. I told them to look up words in the Franglais dictionary such as "chair" "table" "ceiling" "floor" "light" "carpet" etc...and label objects appropriately in french. Now when they look around the room they will know the names of things in the class from "vent" to "outlet" to the graffiti on the wall. The students had a lot of fun doing this, so we had a good time.
When class was over at 5pm, I had to rush quickly to make it in time for my shift at the restaurant. As I ordered a buffalo chicken salad at the bar before my shift, the bartender leaned over and told me i had paper stuck to my purse and my shirt. Apparently, without my knowing, one of my students had cleverly labeled my purse, "sac à main" and me, "professeur."
Très mignon.
