Review 911

Went to see Farenheit 911 on Tuesday. The first couple minutes of the film pretty much set the stage that it was going to be a Bush-bash, however, Moore takes us on a political whirlwind turning everything we've been hearing on CNN upside down. He challenges us to read behind the information that media feed us and to critically examine the facts behind the news stories. Behind the drama, the warfare, and morals and ethics to the big stack of cash that makes the country go round.

The viewer should keep in mind that Moore is very strong oppositional reader which means that he pretty much goes against EVERYTHING status quo. The film is pretty biased. His challenging borderline eccentric ANTI-mainstream personality, democratic political beliefs, and quick sense of humor makes the documentary enjoyable to watch. It dragged a little in the third quarter of the movie, but made up for it with heartwrenching testimonies, humor and political mockery.

If you critically examine the film, and take a look at the subjects that Moore brings up you can gain an understanding about where he was raised and how he was brought up. There is a distinctive working class aura about him, and this movie is as much about fighting for the underdogs and ridiculing the rich and powerful as it is about searching for the truth. This documentary was one of the cleverest I've seen, and I definately recommend it to all.

Next on my list as a new Michael Moore fan is "Stupid White Men" (book) and "Roger & Me" and "Bowling for Columbine."

**Moore plagerized the title and tagline from Ray Bradbury's book Farenheit 451. Not cool.**
