My friend just sent me some pictures, so I thought I'd post them up here. These are some guys that play in a metal band called Mephisto. I met them while I was in Cuba, and they were so nice. In the city of Holguin outside where the university is located, there is a music ghetto where all the musicians gather and work on their stuff. Cause Cuba is a communist country, it's really hard for them to get any music supplies cause they're so expensive and very limited, however, there are instruments in the music square for all of them to share. . While I was visiting, there were all sorts of groups of people just hanging out and singing and rehersing. I remember this group of guys freestyling in Spanish to guitar beats. Was pretty dope.
