On Friday after work, S came to meet me downtown and we went on a nice date.
We had dinner at Spring Rolls, and had such yuuuummy food. We had:
Atmosphere was trendy but casual and the service was very friendly. Prices were surprisingly cheap... I'm definately going back and recommending this place to friends.
Afterward, S and I went to see the Egyptian exhibit at the ROM.
**I stole this date from Anita!
On Saturday, I spent the day with my 10 year old cousin, Aislyn. After watching her brother, Liam's vollleyball game, We went to the mall and walked around for a bit, then had lunch at Jack Astors. On the way home, we went for a drive along Mississauga Road to look at the big houses. We both had a fun time, and Aislyn's already asking her mom to let her come to Toronto by herself so I can take her to Wonderland in the summer.
Saturday night and sunday night I worked... and closed.
Last night, there was no dishwasher in the restaurant, which meant that it was going to be a very long night for all of the closing staff.
So I rolled up my sleeves and plowed right into the disgusting puke looking water and learned how to use the dishwashing machine. The guys in the kitchen were happy and shocked that I was helping them out with the work they would have gotten stuck with. Never before has a girl server ventured back to the depths of the steamy dirty dishpit. They all bought me beers after work, which I left behind for them since i was driving home. I got the Applebee's teamplayer award which doesn't mean much more than having my name written on the whiteboard.
