I don't know why I pretended that I was done exams, when I actually have two more to study for.
On Friday, I went to Marche for Gilbert's birthday. I had a surprisingly good time. I ate mussels, bocconcinni cheese salad, laughed a lot, and met Gilbert's very cool gay boss.

Afterward we went to Distrik, which was too packed and too Asian-y for my liking. heh..I was supposed to meet Becky outside because she didn't know where the club was, however, I had already gotten inside and checked my coat. So I ran to the entrance and asked the bouncer if I could just step outside to find my friend. He gave me a nod so I ran in the freezing cold down Peter St. in my tube top to find Becky wandering the streets. When she saw me running to her rescue, she shouted, " I LOVE you!!" Laughing and freezing my ass off, we ran back the front entrance. The line was packed. I walked right up to the front and tried to push my way through. The bouncer asked me what I thought I was doing. I matter-of-factly explained that I was just coming out to find my friend.

Bouncer: Why would you do that??
Me: Why not? My friend was lost.
2nd Bouncer: Don't worry, I said she could go
Bouncer: Fine..
Me: (stepping over velvet rope)
Bouncer: (annoyed) Don't do that.
Me: (meh!) sorry.

Gilbert and Angie were waiting in the hallway inside so we all made our way to the dance floor together...turning around, I realized that Gilbert wasn't with us. I looked behind to see the bouncers giving him a hard time getting back in.

Gilbert: I was just waiting for my friend.. those are my friends
Bouncer: Where's your ticket?
Gilbert: Here..I have my coat check ticket.
Bouncer: Can't let you in.
Me: He's with me.
Bouncer: (to Gilbert) okay.. go.
Gilbert: heh.. thanks kim.

Sometimes it's great being a woman.

Last night, I went to the church Christmas banquet. We Afterward, I went to hang out with Sharl and ate some more. We ordered a pizza and watched Sex and the City on TV.

Today I am goin to another party. I don't know how i'm going to study for my exams, but somehow, I don't feel worried. I have to go cook now. I'm making a layered omelette. I'll share my recipe later. Maybe.
